An AI-native school fundraising platform MVP offering 2–5% fees instead of the industry-standard 20%.

What it is
Let's Raise It is a marketing website and early product prototype for a fundraising platform designed to compete with services like SnapRaise. It promises transparent, sub-5% platform fees powered by AI personalization instead of expensive human coaching, and a <60-second campaign launch flow that defers Stripe onboarding until after organizers start collecting donations. The site targets school teams, sports organizations, and community fundraisers who want to keep 95%+ of what they raise.
Why I built it
Built to validate a startup concept addressing pain points in the school fundraising market: exorbitant platform fees (20% vs. 2–5%), poor donor trust, and onboarding friction. The project explores whether zero-friction setup (launch first, connect bank later) and AI-driven personalization can disrupt incumbents and create a more donor-friendly experience.
Tech stack
Next.js 15 (App Router, React Server Components), TypeScript, Tailwind CSS v4, Bun runtime. Planned backend includes Supabase (PostgreSQL), Stripe Express for deferred payouts, and Framer Motion for animations. Currently a static marketing site with contact/privacy/terms pages deployed to Vercel.
Timeline & effort
Last active Apr 18, 2025 — 10 commits across 4 active days (spanning 131 days).
Light exploratory work: 10 commits over 131 calendar days, with activity concentrated on just 4 distinct days (Dec 2025, Mar/Apr 2026). Indicates early-stage scoping and brand/content iteration rather than sustained feature development.
Did it turn out useful?
Extensive brand and product planning docs (appplan.md, brand.md) show serious strategic thinking, but the codebase is minimal—mostly static pages (homepage, contact, privacy, terms) with no authentication, database, or payment integration. The Vercel deployment suggests public validation/landing-page testing, but commit activity is sporadic and feature-light. This is a well-researched concept in the prototype stage, not yet a functional fundraising tool.
