What it is
The CEO Self-Assessment Tool is a marketing asset designed to attract and qualify agency founders and CEOs. Users answer five multiple-choice questions about their operational style, submit their business email to unlock results, and receive a personalized persona breakdown with tailored insights and a call-to-action. The tool integrates with HubSpot to capture leads, tag contacts by persona, and enable downstream marketing automation.
Why I built it
Built as a lead-generation and sales-enablement tool to convert high-intent visitors into qualified leads by offering value-forward content that segments users by operational maturity (reactive vs. strategic). The gated structure ensures email capture while the persona tagging enables targeted follow-up workflows.
Tech stack
Next.js 15 (App Router), TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, tRPC for type-safe API calls, Zod for validation, React Query for state management, Prisma (with optional result logging), SuperJSON for serialization, and HubSpot REST API integration for CRM syncing.
Timeline & effort
Last active Jun 5, 2025 — 15 commits across 2 active days (spanning 1 day).
Developed rapidly over two days with 15 commits spanning June 4–5, 2025. This was a focused sprint to stand up a marketing tool: core assessment logic, persona-based scoring, component structure, and HubSpot integration were built out in a short burst.
Did it turn out useful?
The app is deployed to production at pxassessment.vercel.app and has a clear, real-world use case as a lead-gen tool for an agency. The HubSpot integration, email gating, and persona-based results indicate it's actively serving its marketing and sales enablement goals, not just a prototype or experiment.
